Professor Dr. Ibrahim Darwish

Chairman

Professor Dr. Ibrahim Darwish is the firm’s chairman. He has been a law professor and legal practitioner since the 1960’s. Dr. Ibrahim Darwish experience ranges from representing clients before all levels of the Egyptian judiciary including the Supreme Constitutional Court as well as numerous arbitration proceedings to providing corporate and commercial legal advice to public and private sector clients.

Professor Dr. Mohamed Darwish

Managing Partner

Mohamed is a founding partner and heads the Corporate and Commercial, Real Estate and Dispute Resolution departments. He also advises extensively on Energy and Infrastructure and banking transactions. Mohamed started his legal career as judge at the Egyptian State Council. He is currently a professor of public law at Cairo University.

Ibrahim El Said

Executive Partner

Ibrahim is a founding partner and heads the firm’s Aviation, Energy , Media, Sports Law and Tourism practices. He also advises on corporate, commercial and banking matters. Ibrahim started his career with Denton Wilde Sapte in 2000 and has since worked as legal counsel for BG Egypt, head of legal at PICO International Petroleum and partner at El Said Darwish & Partners. Ibrahim is fluent in Arabic, English and German.

Jalian Shindy

Partner

Jailan started her career in 1987 as an analyst in the credit department at Chase National Bank, Egypt. She holds a Masters degree in economics from the American University in Cairo and is specialized in investment and credit risk. Jailan heads a team offering services in the areas of valuation, business development and financial restructuring. In the last few years, she became renowned for providing credit and finance training programs to a wide range of banks and private sector companies.

Waly Dolaty

Of Counsel

Waly has almost 15 years of experience in practicing corporate, business and commercial law. He has advised on establishing funds, complex financial products, and has advised on the setting up of tax-efficient structures. Waly has handled a number of landmark acquisitions for major financial institutions in Mena Region. He also has considerable experience in Islamic finance and the banking industry in general.

He has been a guest speaker at several legal and investment forums in Kuwait and Egypt and was also selected as a member of the committee that was charged with preparing the primary draft of the new Egyptian constitution after the 25th of January revolution, by the National Gathering Forum. Waly is serving as board member of nine companies; some of which are publicly traded, in Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, USA, UK and Netherlands Antilles.

Jeremy Mark Green

Mark Green qualified as an English solicitor in 1981 and has been giving corporate and commercial legal advice to UK, European and other international business clients ever since.

Mark is also qualified as a Notary Public, as a German Solicitor (Rechtsanwalt) and has acted as Honorary Consul for the Federal Republic of Germany in Northern England since 2000.
