The firm’s growing sports law practice involves advising a number of international professional football players on commercial, transactional, regulatory and disciplinary issues, including representation before FIFA and its affiliated organizations. Contractual advice covers contract drafting and transfer negotiations.
The following are a selection of our Sports Law practice:
- Advising Eleven 11 Football Management on the use and exploitation of Egyptian international striker Ramadan Sobhy’s image and commercial rights.
- Representing Saudi international football player Mohamed Noor before the Saudi Arabian Anti-Doping Hearing Panel, the Saudi Arabian Appeal Hearing Panel as well as the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
- Advising Eleven 11 Football Management on El Gouna Football Club Management Agreement entered into with El Gouna F.C.
- Advising Ihab AbdelRahman, Egypt`s first-ever athlete to win a javelin throw medal at an IAAF Championships, at the Ad hoc Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
- Acting for Egyptian international midfielder Hossam Ghaly on the successful challenge before the Word Anti Doping Agency (ìWADAî) to lift the suspension resulting from the anti- doping disciplinary proceedings initiat- ed against the player by the Saudi Arabian Anti Doping Agency.
- Advising Egyptian international midfielder Mohamed Shawki on the settlement of his image rights license fees with Middlesbrough Football Club.
- Advising Egyptian international striker Emad Meteeb on his departure from Belgian club Standard De Liege S.A and his return to Egyptian club Al Ahly F.C.
- Acting for Egyptian international versatile defender Ahmed Fathy on a dispute involving his agent before the Single Judge of the Players’ Status Committee of the Federation Internationale de Football Association.
